Reiki is a Japanese word meaning “Universal Life Energy” and Reiki healing technique was rediscovered in the early 20th century by Dr. Mikao Usui.
Dr. Usui practiced Reiki in Japan and one of his followers, a Hawaiian Japanese woman, Hawayo Takarta, brought Reiki to the USA and the West in 1937.
Reiki, a “hands on” therapy, brings about deep relaxation, removes energy blockages, detoxifies the system, provides new vitality and increases the vibrational frequency of the body’s energy system.
Whilst Reiki is a universal gift to mankind the practitioner needs no belief system and Reiki is non-denominational.
Since Reiki was introduced to the world it has been systemised into 3 levels.
First Degree - Students learn various hand positions in order to treat themselves and others.
Second Degree – Students learn 3 symbols enabling them to work off the body in the auric field; send distant healing and heal emotional imbalances.
Third Degree – This is Master level and the students learn how to “attune” others.
Our training involves comprehensive training manuals; certification; guidance for those wishing to set up their own practice and ongoing support after training.
